To be resilient
Children will find elements of music challenging but they will be encouraged to have a go and in turn build their confidence and self-esteem.
To be inquisitive
Our curriculum will inspire a curiosity and fascination about the world of music including listening to and appraising a range of genres and the use of instruments both tuned and un-tuned to create and explore sounds.
To be challenged
Children will listen to and appraise a range of genres some which are new to them. They will explore different sounds and use a range of instruments to create their own music, improvising playing with increasing accuracy, fluency, control and expression.
